Statistical Process Control

The simple to use system allows samples to be weighed and charted, with an optional link to the divider / filler to monitor and control batch standard deviation.  Out of specification samples prompt warnings and record remedial action.

The system has adjustable high and low weight parameters. This allows operators and managers to be alerted by a non-conforming weight trend (negative or positive) or high standard deviation (pocket or filler specific).  This action of statistical sampling is proven to reduce giveaway, improve quality control and prevent product returns.

Hundreds of configuration options exist in the standard product, enabling each system to be setup to handle many applications including food and beverage, bakery, chemical & plastics, pharmaceutical & life sciences.

The V5 SPC System allows users to record samples and access batch trends in real time using graphical displays and messaging.

The system eliminates the human error associated with manual sample recording (using paper records) and can be configured for Average Weight, Minimum Weight or SPC.

Years of production and weighing records can be stored safely on Windows Servers, ensuring visits from customers and regulators are short and informative, using accurate data based on real time production weight sampling.

Quality Attributes

The V5 QA module allows users to capture further process control data relating to a product in addition to weight.

The system eliminates the human error associated with manual attribute recording (using paper records) and can be configured for most variables associated with multi stage manufacturing.

The simple to use user interface (HMI) enables easy prompting and recording of critical variable data such as length, width, height, color, texture and taste.

Data is stored against the running batch to allow simple data reporting for QA trend analysis.

Hardware Specifications

The SG15 Touch Screen is a NEMA4X (IP66) heavy industrial computer designed for harsh manufacturing  applications. It is usually supplied with a stainless steel fabricated stand with a built in scale, however the terminal can be supplied and connected to most existing scales and balances using internal connections.

The terminal is constructed using compression seals to maximize ingress protection.  Cables entries are sealed and protected.

The Terminals are supplied with software applications which run on Windows or Linux as a background operating system.

Stainless steel stands, scales and printer enclosures are fully welded and polished to high manufacturing standards.

Networking

The terminals utilize TCP/IP communications to a database using a wired or wireless LAN.  This allows multiple Terminal to communicate with a central database.  Terminal support is conducted using VNC or RDC.
