Stevens Group Ltd was founded in London, England in 1840, by Charles Stevens & Sons Ltd as a manufacturer of innovative weighing machines using mechanical lever technology, the very best at the time. Stevens continued to market their products for over a hundred years and during the 1970’s the company diversified into electronic weighing machines for the food, chemical, pharmaceutical and logistics markets.
During the mid 1980’s Stevens innovated a formula control system to enable ingredient control using microprocessor based electronic weighing equipment. They quickly developed into the UK’s market leader for formulation control particularly within the food industry.
In the late 1990’s their formula control solution had gathered momentum, with over 1500 customers in and around Europe depending on their solutions to deliver factory wide traceability.
Stevens has a well earned, worldwide reputation with distribution across Europe, North America and Australia with an enviable customer base and highly developed product offering. SG Systems LLC was founded in 2007 to bring the benefits of the Stevens product to the North American Market. The company President is a long standing Stevens’ affiliate and former Commercial Manager of Stevens Group Ltd.
SG Systems is passionate about food safety, traceability and factory floor efficiency.
SG Systems LLC operate from Dallas, TX with a North American coverage of both sales and service support. It is a privately owned company with a ‘can do’ approach to problem solving and rising to the challenge.
